Cluster Management: keep the controls, skip the cluster ops

Tinybird’s Cluster Management feature gives organizations on supported Dedicated infrastructure manual control over ClickHouse cluster capacity and workload routing while Tinybird continues to operate the underlying platform. Teams can monitor free, minute-level hardware and service metrics, then use the Organization UI or API to add, resize, rebalance, or remove replicas, with configurable proportional weights for query traffic, ingestion, and Copy Pipe jobs. The feature is not automatic scaling, but customers can build their own threshold-based automation through the Organizations API while retaining approval over changes. Resizing follows an add, reroute, verify, and remove process designed to avoid downtime, though overlapping old and new capacity incurs temporary additional cost and only one operation can run at a time. API safeguards require current weight configurations with each mutation to prevent stale updates, and Cluster Management is available only for eligible Dedicated organizations, not shared plans or self-managed deployments.
