What's new in Tines: July 2026 edition
Blog post from Tines
Tines announced Tines 3B as a secure platform for building, operating, and monitoring apps, AI agents, and automations, while renaming its existing platform Tines Stories and continuing its development through 36 July updates. New app features include AI-generated planning documents, in-builder analytics, customizable sharing URLs, user-specific access controls, case-based app access, and MCP support for building apps through AI interfaces, alongside dashboard drafting and editing modes. Storyboard improvements introduce a visual case editor, formulas and change controls for case elements, and find-and-replace tools, while AI capabilities now include web search, runtime model selection, and support for new Claude and GPT model families. The release also expands integrations through case-template APIs, case notification webhooks, credential dependency visibility, and rotation notifications, while adding more granular API-key and tenant-read permissions for administrators. Self-hosted customers receive dynamic SMTP configuration, a hardened container image, and support for custom runtimes over tunnels, and Tines also promoted Builder Connect events and its Explore Edition for users interested in trying Tines 3B.
