The community survey results show that while there are engaged users, only a small percentage (12%) of users with less than 15 years of experience have contributed to the project. The majority of comments suggest that making it easier for users to contribute and improving non-code contributions such as educational content and documentation would be beneficial. Many users want to contribute but face challenges in understanding how to get involved, particularly with code contributions and the Commitfest process. To address this, the community is looking for ways to improve documentation, provide better examples, and offer more options for getting help. The survey results also highlight the importance of growing the base of contributors, especially from users with 15 years or more of experience.
