Furthermore, TigerBeetle's approach involves expressing all financial transactions as multiples of a minimal integer factor, avoiding fractional numbers due to the inaccuracies associated with binary floating-point representation. By maintaining separate positive integer amounts for debits and credits, TigerBeetle enhances data accuracy and flexibility while eliminating the complications associated with negative numbers. Although 128-bit arithmetic requires more computational resources and support from client languages, TigerBeetle provides efficient API solutions to manage these challenges, enabling high-performance and adaptable financial operations for future-proof accounting needs.
