TimescaleDB 1.0 is now production ready, marking a significant milestone in the development of an enterprise-ready time-series database that supports full SQL and scales. The release builds upon two years of dedicated effort by Timescale's engineering team, which has merged over 50 PRs to harden the database, improving stability and ease-of-use. This version also introduces several usability improvements, including better support for Windows, FreeBSD, and NetBSD, as well as a foundation for background job automation and scheduling. The release includes native support for Grafana and Prometheus, expanding the ecosystem of compatible tools. With this milestone, Timescale is poised to bring easier, more powerful time-series analytics and insights to users, with plans for further updates and announcements in the coming year.
