New Experience, Adaptive Heal and Dynamic Test in KaneAI
Blog post from TestMu AI
KaneAI introduces a New Experience authoring engine for Desktop Web tests, alongside Classic, enabling Evidence Reporting and self-maintenance capabilities for eligible New Experience tests run on Chrome. Evidence Reporting replaces the standard report only when every test in a run qualifies, adding coverage information and business-use-case context. Self-maintenance offers Auto-Heal for locator recovery plus one selectable failure strategy: Adaptive Heal re-authors the failed objective and subsequent objectives after replay failure, Dynamic Test re-authors all objectives on every run without replaying recorded steps, and Retry on Failure reruns an unchanged test from the beginning up to five times. Adaptive Heal and Dynamic Test create new test versions that consume authoring credits and, by default, require approval in Version History before becoming current, while an optional auto-approval setting can apply changes immediately. Settings can be inherited from organization to project to individual run, although Retry on Failure is available only per run, and limitations exclude Classic, non-Chrome, mobile, app, and previously created runs from re-authoring behavior.
