Migrate a Katalon Project Into Test Manager

TestMu AI Test Manager offers a Katalon Studio importer that converts desktop web test cases from a single Katalon project ZIP file into editable KaneAI New Experience tests within a newly created Test Manager project. Before importing, a review wizard analyzes supported and unsupported cases, shows translated instructions, excluded steps, conversion notes, and step counts, allowing teams to selectively include partial cases and provide masked variable values as secrets or global variables. The importer supports ZIP files up to 500 MB but excludes mobile tests, unsupported operations, commented-out steps, generated code, screenshots, and historical execution data, meaning organizations may need to retain their original Katalon projects for audit records. Translation differences, such as approximating sendKeys with typing or checkbox validation with clicking, require careful review, while cases imported with unsupported steps omitted should be repaired before being considered complete coverage. After migration, teams can validate tests in the KaneAI agent playground, organize them into folders and cycles, and use Test Manager’s broader planning, traceability, versioning, and defect-linking capabilities.
