Kane CLI Exploration Learns Your Web App Before Anyone Writes a Test
Blog post from TestMu AI
Kane CLI Exploration is a web-application testing feature designed to map and assess apps that lack reliable requirements or documentation, including legacy, inherited, and AI-generated products. Starting from a URL, an autonomous agent uses up to 20 parallel cloud browsers on HyperExecute to navigate reachable screens, controls, flows, and page states, while detecting accessibility, console, network, broken-link, and performance issues. It can be controlled through terminal options for prompts, read-only operation, excluded controls, parallelism, live map viewing, and stopping runs, with displayed secrets masked before logs or evidence are stored. In a six-run demonstration on a public store, the tool mapped 15 screens across four areas, recorded 21 flows, identified two broken flows, and generated 64 findings, including recurring accessibility problems. The resulting exploration map can serve as context for Kane CLI Assurance to generate use cases and tests, preserve evidence for each test run, report coverage, and add tests to existing CI pipelines alongside Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress suites. Available for web applications through the KaneAI Max plan, Exploration is positioned as broad automated discovery that complements rather than replaces human exploratory testing and triage.
