A Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) is a structured framework designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Quality Assurance (QA) testing within Agile software development environments by standardizing processes, documentation, and training for QA testers. TCoEs address the challenges of inconsistencies and chaos that can arise when Agile teams have varying testing methods, by providing a centralized repository of knowledge and established procedures, which improves the speed and quality of testing. By integrating QA into the development process rather than relegating it to a support role, TCoEs facilitate early defect detection, reduce costs, and improve release quality, while fostering an inclusive, diverse, and cohesive team environment that encourages innovation. Successful implementation of a TCoE requires the collaboration of a diverse committee that includes members from various levels of experience and roles, ensuring that standardized processes are accessible, clear, and continuously improved to adapt to evolving needs.
