Test Automation with SWAG [Testμ 2023]

SWAG, Equinox's in-house test data service, tackles complex issues beyond just data delivery. Garvit Chandna, a Senior Manager at Equinox, discussed the creation and implementation of SWAG, which uses Spring Boot Cloud to retrieve data from various sources like SQL Server, Documentdb, Postgres, Redshift, and Redis. The system eliminates hardcoded values, provides variety in test data, efficient testing with parallel execution, ease of maintenance, and data security. It also enables dynamic test data generation, reusability across platforms and applications, no manual data setup, faster test execution, test environment independence, and accessible test data.
