Tessell's latest release for SQL Server introduces several enhancements designed to streamline enterprise operations, focusing on automated clone refresh, native backup support, and post-provisioning conversion from Single Instance to High Availability. The automated clone refresh feature eliminates the need for manual syncing of development and test environments with production data by introducing a built-in refresh schedule, supporting enterprise workflows with pre- and post-refresh scripting, sanitized data handling, and automatic rollback mechanisms. Native backup support complements existing EBS snapshot methods by offering SQL Server backups in native .bak format, facilitating compliance and long-term retention while reducing storage costs.
