New SQL Server Permissions and Script Management
Blog post from Tessell
Tessell has introduced several new features to enhance its support for Exadata infrastructure on AWS, including the ability to effortlessly provision and clone databases, unified backup and restore options, and improved monitoring and management through a single interface. Enhancements to the Script Library now allow for scoped subscription support, offering granular access control and improved governance. Additionally, automatic log rotation for Tessell Windows services prevents disk space issues and service failures, while SQL Server master users now receive automatic sysadmin server role access for better control and simpler database management. New monitoring metrics for MySQL and InnoDB Cluster services have been implemented to improve alert accuracy and provide real-time visibility into database health, ensuring proactive detection and faster troubleshooting. These updates aim to improve operational flexibility, governance, and user experience across various database environments.
