Replay 2024, Temporal's annual conference, began with a keynote by Samar Abbas, Co-Founder and CEO, who emphasized the importance of durable execution in workflows, followed by a live demo showcasing Temporal's resilience. Preeti Somal, SVP of Engineering, highlighted the growth of Temporal Cloud, introduced a $1,000 promotion credit, API Keys, Google Cloud support, and a new Billing Center, stressing robust security and user control. Additional sessions included strategies for expanding Temporal use through internal platforms by Cashback App and managing self-hosted Temporal clusters by Salesforce, focusing on scalability and cost efficiency. Jonathan Lacefield announced the Billing Center for managing costs, inviting user feedback on cost management needs, setting the stage for more insights on Day 2.
