Tony Chu

As a product designer at Tecton, Tony Chu focuses on user experience and developer experience, designing interactive diagrams and user flows for data registration, debugging, and feature view definitions. Previously, he worked as a design manager at Facebook's AI Platform and Tools team, and before that, at several ML-focused companies in the Bay Area. He joined Tecton to escape the slow pace of large organizations and enjoy the flexibility to switch between different types of work. Tony enjoys using D3js for data visualization and has read influential books such as "Black Like Me" and "Algorithms to Live By". He thinks heaven on Earth is Tokyo, where he can appreciate its food, culture, and transportation infrastructure. His favorite piece of swag is a Patagonia wind jacket from Sift Science that he still wears every winter.
