Tailscale v1.2 is here
Blog post from Tailscale
Tailscale v1.2 has been released, offering significant enhancements such as the introduction of MagicDNS for all users and improvements to the Windows client, which now includes an Unattended Mode that allows Windows devices to be accessible over the network even when no user is logged in. The MagicDNS feature, which is still in beta, simplifies network navigation by enabling access to devices using hostnames instead of IP addresses and requires manual activation via the admin console. This release also brings advancements to the admin console, including improvements to the ACL editor with automated tests and rule previews to help manage network access controls effectively. The versioning system now uses even numbers for stable releases and odd numbers for unstable ones, making it easier to identify and troubleshoot different builds, with v1.3 available for those interested in the latest unstable version.
