Mistral’s Codestral is now available on Tabnine

Codestral, a high-performance model from Mistral, is now available on Tabnine, offering capabilities such as code generation, documentation, and AI-created tests with a 32k context window for personalized coding recommendations. Released on May 29, 2024, Codestral is Mistral's first code model, supporting over 80 programming languages and excelling in popular ones like Python, Java, and Bash, while also performing well in less common languages such as Swift and Fortran. Benchmark comparisons against larger models like CodeLlama 70B show Codestral's superior performance and efficiency, providing a favorable cost-to-performance ratio. Following the introduction of switchable models in April 2024, Tabnine now offers six models, including Codestral, GPT-4o, and Tabnine's own models, allowing users to choose the best model for their tasks with transparency in model behaviors and characteristics. The Codestral model is available to Tabnine Pro users at no additional cost and will soon be accessible to Enterprise users, emphasizing Tabnine's commitment to providing cutting-edge models.
