Cohere’s Command R model is now available as an option to power Tabnine Chat

Cohere's Command R model, released in March 2024, is now integrated into Tabnine Chat, an AI-powered software development tool, through a partnership with Cohere and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Command R model, designed for enterprise use, offers capabilities such as code generation, explanation, and documentation, while optimizing tasks like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and using external APIs. The integration allows Tabnine users to access various AI models, including Command R, through OCI's secure infrastructure, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Tabnine's switchable models functionality lets users choose from eight different models for specific projects, thereby future-proofing their AI investments and enhancing the software development lifecycle. Tabnine Pro users can access the Command R model without additional cost, while enterprise SaaS users are limited to the Tabnine Protected model unless they contact support for access to additional models.
