Tabnine has partnered with Anthropic to integrate the Claude 3 Sonnet model into Tabnine Chat, enhancing its capabilities in code generation, documentation, and personalized recommendations by utilizing local and global codebases. Released in March 2024, Claude 3 Sonnet is part of the Claude 3 family, which includes Haiku and Opus models, and is noted for its speed and performance in enterprise use cases. The partnership allows Tabnine to access Claude 3 Sonnet directly via Amazon Bedrock, ensuring secure data encryption both in transit and at rest. Tabnine's switchable models functionality, which now includes Claude 3 Sonnet, allows users to choose from various models like Tabnine Protected, Tabnine + Mistral, GPT-4o, and Codestral, catering to different performance and privacy needs. This flexibility ensures users can adapt to specific project requirements without being locked into a single model, future-proofing their AI investment and accelerating the software development life cycle. Tabnine Pro users can access all models without additional cost, while enterprise users have default access to Tabnine Protected, with the option to enable other models upon request.
