Bringing AutoConfig to Polling Endpoints
Blog post from Svix
Svix has extended its AutoConfig feature to Polling Endpoints, allowing endpoint settings and worker code to be managed together rather than separately through the UI. Users can create a polling endpoint in the Application Portal, obtain an AutoConfig token containing polling credentials, and use the AutoConfigConsumer SDK class to subscribe with event filters, receive batches of events, and commit processing progress. Consumer IDs preserve each worker’s offset so it can resume in order after a restart. Available on all plans and across Svix SDK languages, the feature can be enabled from the Svix dashboard and is intended to simplify event consumption by eliminating public HTTP endpoints, manual credential handling, signature verification, and configuration drift. It is also positioned as useful for personal AI agents, which can securely poll for ordered events without exposing local machines to the internet.
