Unified Logs is now in open beta

Unified Logs, now in open beta, consolidates logs from various services within a project into a single, searchable view, enhancing the debugging process by eliminating the need to switch between multiple log pages. It integrates logs from the API gateway, Postgres, Auth, Storage, PostgREST, Realtime, and connection poolers into one stream, making it easier to correlate requests across services. The dashboard presents real-time updates with events organized by timestamp, service, method, path, and status, allowing for customized filtering and searching by log type, level, status, method, or pathname. Users can also perform live streaming of new events for immediate observation, while a histogram visualizes log volume over a selected time range, highlighting errors and warnings. Detailed panels provide insights into the progression of requests across services, and a Log Drain feature allows for long-term log storage and integration with other observability tools. The beta version is available to all projects, with an option to revert to the previous log experience, and users are encouraged to provide feedback on its performance and functionality.
