BKND joins Supabase

Dennis Senn, the creator of BKND, has joined the Supabase team to contribute his expertise in developing lightweight backends and developer-first tooling, focusing on creating a "Supabase Lite" tailored for agentic workloads. This endeavor is not an immediate integration of BKND into Supabase but an exploration of new possibilities, with the shape of the Supabase Lite offering still being refined. The goal is to develop a streamlined experience that supports sandboxes and agentic database architectures, resulting in smaller, more cost-effective, and simpler databases. BKND will remain open source as the team works in a separate repository to develop this lightweight experience, inviting collaboration and ideas from the community as the project progresses.
