Stripe Connect's embedded components are prebuilt, production-ready UI modules designed to streamline payments and finance workflows for platforms with minimal coding. Since their introduction, active users of these components have tripled, with platforms like Squarespace, DoorDash, and FreshBooks among the adopters. Initially created for startup platforms to quickly build payments and finance features despite limited resources, these components have found significant uptake among larger platforms that require scalable solutions for international expansion and compliance. Surprisingly, platforms serving in-person industries, such as automotive repair and hospitality, lead in adoption rates, leveraging the components to address challenges related to lower margins and higher operating expenses. Embedded components help streamline complex tasks like onboarding, payments, and financing, offering enhanced user experiences by integrating seamlessly into existing dashboards. Platforms are also customizing these components to maintain brand consistency, with 71% using theming features to align with their visual identity. Stripe continues to expand its library of components, enabling platforms to enhance user engagement and generate new revenue streams by promoting financial products directly within their interfaces.
