New ways for fintechs to move money and expand globally
Blog post from Stripe
Stripe has introduced expanded tools intended to help fintech companies launch and scale financial products internationally, addressing local payment methods, compliance, banking partnerships, and money movement. Global Payouts now enables instant stablecoin payouts in 160 markets and traditional-currency payouts in more than 100 markets, through the Dashboard, hosted forms, or APIs for uses such as remittances, loan disbursements, withdrawals, and cash-outs. Stripe is also extending stablecoin card issuing to 27 EU countries, bringing coverage to more than 65 countries with plans for 100 by the end of 2026; these cards convert stablecoin balances into local currency at purchase while allowing merchants to accept standard card payments. Stripe Treasury, Global Payouts, and Issuing form a unified platform that lets businesses settle and hold funds, exchange currencies, issue cards, and make payments while sharing KYC information to reduce compliance and verification work. The stack also supports interoperability with Open Standard’s OUSD stablecoin and Tempo’s blockchain, and Stripe says more than 1,500 fintechs already use its services across over 200 countries and territories.
