As 2026 approaches, Stream is enhancing its real-time communication APIs to make them faster, smarter, and easier to use, with significant updates across its Chat, Feeds, Moderation, and Video products. The Chat product will feature new analytics APIs, batch channel updates, multi-tenancy billing metrics, a search overhaul, and AI SDK improvements, among other enhancements. Feeds v3 is set to introduce performance upgrades and AI-enhanced personalization tools, while the Moderation product will expand to cover live events and offer an Appeals API for contesting moderation decisions. Stream Video will focus on reducing latency, upgrading codecs, and providing enhanced analytics capabilities. These updates aim to empower developers with more control and insight, enabling them to build superior real-time experiences at scale.
