Introducing the Stream Framework
Blog post from Stream
Feedly's 1.0.0 release has been renamed to Stream Framework due to a naming conflict with the company that owns feedly.com, and efforts are being made to ensure a smooth transition. The GitHub repository has been updated to reflect this change, and the package is now available on PYPI, allowing users to install it using pip. The new stream_framework package remains backward compatible, enabling users to continue using their existing imports until March 19, 2015, when backward compatibility will be dropped. Users are encouraged to update their requirements files immediately by replacing "feedly" with "stream_framework" as the old package will be removed from PYPI on January 22, 2015. The development team has outlined a roadmap featuring several new features, including improved documentation, Python 3 support, upgraded CQLEngine and Python driver, a scalable database backend, and relevancy-based feeds, and they welcome feedback from users.
