Announcing Experimental Multi-Platform Support for the Stream Flutter SDK
Blog post from Stream
Stream has been actively expanding its support for developer tools by enhancing its Flutter integration, which is one of its fastest-growing initiatives since the introduction of Dart/Flutter support in February 2020. The company has announced experimental multi-platform support for its Stream Flutter SDK, now covering macOS, Web, Windows, and Linux alongside Android and iOS, aligning with Flutter's single codebase approach. Although still in an experimental phase with some unsupported features, Stream is working towards stable builds. Team members express enthusiasm for the flexibility and ease of handling offered by the Flutter framework, even across different operating systems. Stream is also increasing its team size to improve the quality and user-friendliness of the Flutter SDK, with plans for more multi-platform examples and Flutter-specific content in the future.
