Refactoring Strapi to Empower Content Editors - LibraryOn Case Study

The LibraryOn project aimed to connect users to UK libraries using a digital front door. To manage content efficiently, Strapi was chosen as a flexible and composable headless CMS. However, the initial implementation underperformed due to redundancy and confusion in content structure and API setup. A refactor simplified the API, eliminated redundancy, and empowered content editors with dynamic zones and flexible API structure. The project transformed into a content-driven platform that truly empowers its editors, showcasing how proper Strapi implementation can unlock its full potential and give content editors the superpowers they need.
