The Strapi project aims to create a powerful Node.js framework with an administration on top of it, designed as an open-source ecosystem with plugins built around it. The project's v2.0.0 and v3 versions were attempts to improve the framework, but they failed and taught valuable lessons. The current v3 version is focused on providing a well-designed product for developers, with a marketplace for sharing plugins created by the community. The roadmap for the next three months includes implementing the upload feature, rich text editor, search bar, GraphQL support, and improving the workflow for creating plugins. These features are prioritized based on community feedback and will be released in March, April, and May.
