Monthly Update - November 2019
Blog post from Strapi
Strapi has recently made significant enhancements to its platform, including reducing build time by 30% through the removal of the node-sass dependency and updates to Webpack, alongside the completion of migration to styled-components. The project is nearing 20,000 stars on GitHub, indicating growing popularity and community appreciation. A critical security issue was swiftly addressed, leading to the introduction of a new security protocol to enhance user protection. Strapi also plans to deprecate the underused Settings Manager plugin and focus on user onboarding by introducing a Guided Tour for new users. Plans are underway to develop a new webhook feature to facilitate real-time information exchange between applications. Additionally, a series of blog posts titled "A Product Story" will be launched to shed light on product decisions and engage with the community.
