Summary

Statsig MCP v3 is a rebuilt integration for coding agents that expands managed Console API coverage to all 226 supported endpoints while reducing initial session context through a smaller set of commonly used tools and on-demand discovery for others. The update addresses prior limitations around incomplete capabilities, confusing tool selection, prose-oriented responses, and broad project-level write permissions by providing structured automation-friendly outputs, input normalization for common agent errors, contextual project and permission lookup, and granular access controls based on user roles, project limits, and token scopes. V3 exposes only authorized tools, validates permissions during both discovery and execution, and includes client compatibility profiles without extending access beyond existing permissions. Users can connect through the new remote server, authenticate with their existing method or an API key where supported, and test project access and common queries, while v2 users must reauthenticate, adapt renamed tools and structured response parsing, and use updated Parameter Store identifiers. Statsig will continue supporting v2 for several months, positioning MCP v3 alongside the Console UI and API as complementary ways to manage experimentation and feature-management work.
