Preview 2 of .NET AI Chat Web App Template Now Available

The second preview of the .NET AI Chat Web App template introduces enhancements such as support for .NET Aspire and integration with the Qdrant vector database, aimed at facilitating the development of cloud-native applications. This update continues to employ the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pattern for chat applications, while expanding features for .NET Aspire, including orchestration capabilities that enable integrations with local and cloud-based AI models. Developers can utilize tools like Visual Studio and the .NET CLI to customize code for chat interactions and citation tracking, and the template supports rapid prototyping and complex scenarios through local vector stores and Azure AI Search. The April 2025 servicing updates for .NET and .NET Framework address security improvements, including a Denial of Service vulnerability fix, and Microsoft Build 2025 will feature over 75 sessions to enhance developers' skills in AI, cloud, and modernization. Additionally, SSOJet offers an API-first platform for secure SSO and user management through features like directory sync and magic link authentication.
