Auto-generate Postman Collections from traffic
Blog post from Speedscale
Speedscale’s free CLI tool can reduce the effort of manually creating and maintaining Postman API tests by recording real application traffic and exporting it as a Postman collection. After installing Postman and the Speedscale CLI, users can capture their own traffic or inspect included demo traffic, then export recorded transactions into a consolidated JSON collection file and import it into Postman. The resulting requests are organized by host and include both service-facing and downstream API traffic, supporting validation of an application’s APIs and its dependencies. Recorded snapshots can also be reused for CI pipeline testing, automated load testing, and mocking third-party services, with integrations available for platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins.
