Private server OAuth on the Speakeasy AI Control Plane: Safe and simple MCP access for your team
Blog post from Speakeasy
Speakeasy has renamed its MCP platform to the Speakeasy AI Control Plane to reflect its broader role in managing organizational AI access, while retaining the same product capabilities. The platform centralizes hosting and access to private Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, allowing platform teams to configure servers, environments, and API credentials once rather than requiring individual developers to manage credentials independently. Its new Speakeasy OAuth feature lets team members authenticate to private MCP servers through standard methods such as Google SSO or email, with OAuth tokens issued automatically through the Dynamic Client Registration flow and without exposing API keys. Administrators can enable the feature in a private server’s authentication settings, add users to their organization, and share connection details, improving onboarding, access revocation, and visibility as MCP use expands.
