Spacelift Intelligence Now Deploys Modules Straight From Your Module Registry
Blog post from Spacelift
Spacelift Intelligence has introduced a feature called Spacelift Intent, which simplifies the deployment of Terraform modules from a module registry by allowing developers to request deployments in plain language without needing to know specific slugs or version numbers. This new tool streamlines the process, enabling developers to easily deploy or update modules, with Intent automatically handling version checks, input requests, and policy evaluations before execution. The system ensures that modules are deployed only if they pass visibility and input checks, maintaining governance through Intent policies while keeping an audit trail. Intent facilitates updates by carrying forward existing inputs when moving to newer versions, and it respects dependency graphs when removing deployments, preventing accidental orphaning of resources. By removing the need for manual intervention in the deployment process, Spacelift Intent allows developers to self-serve within predefined guardrails, enhancing efficiency and governance in infrastructure management.
