Kubernetes Networking Explained – Guide for Beginners

The Kubernetes networking model is designed to allow seamless communication between different parts of a cluster, such as Nodes, Pods, Services, and outside traffic. It uses a virtual overlay network that provides a flat structure for resources to connect to. This model automatically allocates IP addresses, assigns DNS names, and maps ports to Pods and Services. Kubernetes networking is simpler and more consistent than traditional networking models used for physical devices and VMs. The architecture ensures that all Pods can reliably access network connectivity without requiring any manual configuration.
