Introducing Spacelift Plugins: Extensibility Meets Infrastructure as Code

Spacelift has introduced Spacelift Plugins, a new way to enhance infrastructure workflows by integrating various tools directly into Spacelift's ecosystem, making the process more seamless and efficient. These plugins allow infrastructure teams to incorporate security scanners, cost analyzers, compliance checkers, and secret management tools without resorting to custom scripts and complex integrations. The plugins offer extensibility and customizability, enabling teams to build their own plugins using Spaceforge, an open-source SDK. This initiative aims to standardize tooling across organizations while accommodating unique requirements, thus improving the deployment pipeline's flexibility and power. The plugins are open-source, encouraging community contributions to expand the ecosystem. Real-world applications include enhancing security, managing secrets, estimating costs, ensuring compliance, and handling dynamic configurations. Spacelift Plugins are available to all Spacelift customers, with an emphasis on community collaboration to further develop and refine the plugin offerings.
