Claude Opus 5.5 is now available in Gitar
Blog post from Sonar
Gitar, Sonar’s AI code verification agent, has adopted Claude Opus 5.5 for code reviews, with internal testing reporting roughly half the median review time of Opus 5, a seven-percentage-point precision increase, a two-percentage-point recall increase, and 65% lower blended model cost per token. The model works with Gitar’s cross-repository context and retained team guidance, enabling Enterprise users to identify changes that may break dependencies in other repositories and to reuse cited, editable knowledge from previous review discussions. Opus 5.5 also required about half as many tool-call turns and more than ten times fewer subagents by conducting more investigation directly, while selectively using subagents and combining Bash with dedicated code-reading and search tools for stronger results. Gitar invites teams to try the upgraded review capabilities on pull requests, although availability may vary for organizations using their own model keys.
