Soda Cloud Previews Self-Serve Data Quality Checks & Agreements for Data Consumers

Organizations are increasingly adopting a decentralized, domain-driven approach to data management, leading to a shift in responsibilities where business domain experts are taking ownership of data quality. Soda is advancing this trend by introducing new features in Soda Cloud, available in preview mode, which empower data analysts and consumers to independently manage data quality using a user-friendly platform that simplifies the traditional reliance on data engineers. These features include the Soda Agent, a secure, cloud-native service that enables automated data source onboarding and monitoring, and allows for easy creation of data agreements to ensure the reliability and quality of data products. The platform's self-serve capabilities are designed to enhance collaboration between data domain teams and enable them to handle data reliability issues efficiently, thereby supporting business scalability. Soda Cloud is accredited with SOC-2 Type II standards, providing assurance of security and compliance, and is expected to be generally available later in 2022.
