Socure Achieves FedRAMP Authorization: Federal Agencies Can Fight Fraud at Scale with AI-Driven Identity Verification
Blog post from Socure
Socure announced that its AI-driven identity verification platform has received FedRAMP Moderate Authorization, allowing federal agencies to use it under a standardized federal cloud-security framework aligned with NIST controls. Alongside its GovRAMP authorization, Kantara IAL2 certification, and FIPS validation, the company says the milestone supports secure deployment for government programs affected by fraud, waste, improper payments, and identity-related abuse. SocureGov uses models trained on more than 2,000 data sources to detect fraudulent identities proactively, conduct retrospective risk analysis, and automate applicant verification while seeking to reduce false positives and manual reviews. The company cites a state health exchange deployment in which 85% of applicants were automatically approved and 96% of high-risk identity-fraud patterns were detected on the first pass through passive verification. Socure positions its platform as a tool for agencies to modernize citizen access to benefits and services, lower operational costs, and address risks in programs involving taxes, grants, emergency relief, and Medicare.
