Summary

Socure’s Data Genie is an internal AI analyst that lets Sales, Customer Success, Risk, and Product teams ask natural-language data questions through Slack or an API, returning concise, auditable answers with defined scope, time windows, and query provenance. Built to reduce repetitive analyst requests rather than replace analysts, it uses Claude on AWS Bedrock for reasoning while a governed orchestration layer resolves business context, applies Socure-specific metric and reason-code definitions, drafts SQL, and enforces deterministic security checks before read-only execution in Athena. The system separates probabilistic model planning from production authorization, limiting the model to approved tools and tables without unrestricted datalake access. In its first 30 days, Data Genie answered 1,284 questions in under 30 seconds on average, achieved 94.2% first-pass accuracy against manual analyst queries, and reportedly reclaimed about 210 analyst hours per month. Planned enhancements include Slack-based charts, scheduled saved analyses and alerts, additional governed data sources, and improved handling of ambiguous accounts, metrics, and time windows.
