Jerod Santo Joins Socket as Head of Media
Blog post from Socket
Socket has appointed longtime developer, open-source maintainer, podcaster, and writer Jerod Santo as its new Head of Media amid growing concerns about software supply chain attacks. Santo describes an environment in which attacks, AI-enabled vulnerability discovery, zero-click worms, and other threats are increasing in frequency and impact, while similar technologies are also helping defenders identify and fix critical flaws. Having supported Socket’s mission and invested in the company early on, he says he joined because software security has become a priority for organizations worldwide. In his new role, Santo plans to foster deeper, more nuanced conversations about supply chain security, its effects on developers and organizations, practical responses, and the field’s future direction.
