Introducing Reports: An Extensible Reporting Framework for Socket Data

Socket has introduced a new feature called Reports in its dashboard, designed to provide chart-based views of vulnerabilities, dependencies, and usage across organizations and repositories. This new page replaces the previous Analytics page, offering a more structured and consistent reporting experience. Reports is organized into three categories: Vulnerabilities, Dependencies, and Usage, featuring five built-in charts including Top 25 CWEs and Top 10 OWASP categories for vulnerability data, and Licenses and Score Distribution for dependency insights. The tool enables teams to communicate data more effectively by exporting charts for reuse in presentations and reports, reducing the need for manual chart-building. Furthermore, it is built as an extensible framework that will expand with additional charts based on customer feedback, allowing for broad and targeted analysis of Socket data.
