Introducing Organization Notifications in Socket
Blog post from Socket
Socket has introduced Organization Notifications, a feature designed to streamline the management of alert activities for teams by providing updates without constant dashboard monitoring. This feature allows users to subscribe to organization-level alert events, filter alerts by specific criteria, and receive batched updates to designated destinations, with email being the first available channel and Slack and Microsoft Teams planned for future integration. Organization Notifications simplifies the tracking of alert lifecycles, including their creation, changes, and resolution, and ensures notifications are targeted by allowing users to set filters based on category, severity, priority, and repository. By batching updates and sending emails at most every 20 minutes, it offers a concise summary of new or updated alerts, reducing notification overload. Teams can manage this feature via a new Notifications page, where they can create channels, attach subscriptions, and verify email addresses, ensuring that alert information is efficiently routed and reviewed, enhancing operational efficiency for those using Socket's Team, Business, and Enterprise plans.
