Deno's Standard Library has reached stabilization after four years of development, offering a robust collection of TypeScript packages compatible with Deno, Node.js, Cloudflare Workers, and browsers with bundlers. This milestone follows the introduction of Deno 1.0, which has since attracted a community of over 250,000 users, resulting in the creation of more than 2 million modules. The library, hosted on the JSR package registry, does not require Deno for use and can be installed via npm. Comprising 44 distinct packages, the library addresses a broad spectrum of functionalities, including utilities, web logic, and data manipulation, and is designed to alleviate the complexity of dependency management by allowing independent version updates. This standardization is well-received as a departure from the fragmented JavaScript ecosystem, providing a reliable and curated set of tools. The Deno team continues to enhance the platform, working on Deno 2, which promises improved usability, performance, and compatibility with popular frameworks.
