How to send Snyk vulnerability data to the New Relic observability platform
Blog post from Snyk
Snyk and New Relic can be integrated to combine application security findings with observability data, allowing teams to correlate vulnerabilities with application performance, infrastructure, logs, metrics, events, and traces in one platform. Snyk supports scanning proprietary code, open-source dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure, while New Relic provides monitoring across applications and Kubernetes environments. The integration offers three approaches: sending Snyk webhook data through an Azure Function to New Relic’s Security API for curated vulnerability management and correlation, sending flexible webhook payloads to the generic Events API for custom querying and dashboards, or using the open-source Snyk exporter to expose scan data as Prometheus metrics that New Relic’s Kubernetes integration can collect. The appropriate option depends on the environment, with the metrics-based approach suited to Kubernetes-centric deployments and webhook approaches supporting broader architectures. New Relic provides vulnerability views, dashboards, and a Snyk quickstart template to help prioritize issues and reduce noise.
