SingleStore Joins Bytecode Alliance

The Bytecode Alliance is a vendor-neutral nonprofit organization that aims to create a powerful, secure and simplified software development platform based on WebAssembly (Wasm) and WebAssembly System Interface (WASI) standards. SingleStore has joined the alliance, dedicating significant resources toward building out Wasm technology, with the goal of extending database capabilities by safely running code written in many languages close to the data. This technology is expected to simplify analytics, make them faster and more interactive, and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The Bytecode Alliance will provide a platform for applications and service providers to confidently run untrusted code on any infrastructure, with security, efficiency, modularity and portability as guiding principles.
