This enhancement aims to match the performance of JSON columns with any top-level column, utilizing vectorized execution and CPU vector instructions like SIMD to accelerate processing. A test using the TPC-H dataset demonstrated substantial performance gains, with queries involving JSON array aggregation showing improvements of up to 18 times faster execution time compared to before optimization.
