This is achieved through cloud provider load balancers that distribute traffic to aggregators and detect failures, allowing for quick recovery. SingleStoreDB Premium extends this to multi-AZ high availability, ensuring that data centers within a region are available in the event of a failure. The system automatically distributes data across leaf nodes, replicating it across two availability groups to ensure that even if one node fails, there is still a copy of the data in the system. SingleStoreDB's architecture allows for failover to occur in under two seconds, with a brief interruption to service expected during this time. High availability is enabled by default in Singlestore Helios Premium and Dedicated Editions, ensuring that the workspace remains available even in the event of an availability zone failure.
