SingleStore recently hosted 20 young women from the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program, providing them with exposure to the tech industry and opportunities to network with employees across various teams. The program is part of a larger movement to bridge the gender divide in tech workplaces, as Girls Who Code aims to inspire young women to pursue education and careers in STEM subjects. The event allowed these aspiring female engineers to experience the daily routines and challenges faced by SingleStore employees, including product demonstrations and Q&A sessions with panelists from engineering and business teams. Through this experience, the girls gained valuable insight into working in a tech startup, including advice on preparing for interviews and overcoming industry challenges.
