Your agent should understand what you see
Blog post from Sentry
Sentry's Seer Agent has evolved from using ASCII grid snapshots to a more efficient structured context system for understanding and interacting with data on Sentry's platform, enabling it to answer user queries more effectively and at a reduced cost. The previous method involved taking text-based snapshots of entire pages, leading to high token usage and issues with context degradation, limiting the agent's ability to engage in richer interactions. The new approach allows each page component to provide semantic information directly, reducing the token count significantly and maintaining conversation quality while enabling more complex interactions, such as creating and updating dashboards. This system is live across 24 of Sentry's most visited pages, offering a scalable solution without requiring central changes, and sets the stage for further developments that will allow the agent to interact with and manipulate the UI directly.
